Schweinshaxe, or haxen, is a large pork shank roasted on a special rotisserie until it’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Popular during Oktoberfest, these Bavarian-style pork hocks are perfect anytime you want something traditionally German and wonderfully delicious! Adnan and Donna Evren brought this traditional recipe to Canada when they immigrated in 2010, and it has been loved by guests of the Vancouver Christmas Market ever since!
